Since I imagine most of our Thursdays will be needed to hone our skills for whatever crazy GS plan Stecher gives us, is there any interest in setting up a weekly COD squad (I like saying that) night? We could just form up on random nights, but I think agreeing on something more official and regular would lead to the best results.
I was thinking Friday or Saturday at the usual time, but I'm sure we can work something else out if need be. We might even be able to start recruiting new pilots to join us in preparation for the switch. Of course, it will only work out if you guys have the desire and are able to fly an extra night a week. Let me know.

For me at least, it's likely to be a toss up between those two nights, alternating depending on the week. Whichever works better most of the time for most of us, it would be good to do, just so long as we don't get our wires crossed when flying GS and start hitting the wrong controls in combat.

Saturday is best for me, because I am off only every other Friday. I am almost always available Saturday. I love CLOD!

Should we throw our hat in to the ATAG "campaign"? It's basically a simple 10 mission run, Saturday and Sunday during June. Each team has 5 airfields across the Channel and you attack/defend them. It would be a good way to get our feet wet with CLOD and make some connections with the community there which could pay off when we try to launch a GS style campaign in CLOD. The only potential issue is that this is international, so the starting time for missions is 11am PDT. If you guys think it's worth getting into, I'll sign us up. JG1 and TUSA are already in, btw.

I hooked up with JG77 RC tonight on the ATAG server and we decimated! Between us we shot down a Blenheim, 2 spitfires and 3 Hurricanes and only lost one with pilot survival. Communication and coordination was excellent and it felt like a great old Slovenia Ghost Skies mission with a long rolling fight and rearm/refuel breaks. I really hope we can start doing this together as a squad because the CloD combat is intense and wild!

Will these count towards squadron stats? I hope so! I find the gunnery in this game far more difficult than 1946.

We're signed up as a squad or have to do it individually?

The ATAG cross channel campaign won't be official for us, so there won't be permanent records from it. It'll be a good way of working ourselves into the game and community, getting familiar with things.
I signed us up as a squad, so no need for you to do anything in that regard. Just make sure you read through all the rules and how it works.

It starts tomorrow morning, Saturday May 31. I would be on ATAG TS at 10:30am PDT to get ready and figure out what we're doing. If you haven't done it yet, make sure you read through the first post on here ---> theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10429Don't break the refly rules.

Gunther and I were patrolling the coast, found a scout and engaged him, but lost contact. While looking around for him we stumbled on a fight at our airfield that was just ending. We flew back out over the channel looking for a second wave, but the server crapped out. We flew around for a while hoping it would come back, but it never did and then it finally kicked us off. By rule, since it was after 50 minutes, it was counted as official, and that was it. Next mission is Sunday morning.
We had a good bit of fun after that on the regular ATAG server. Tepes had joined us while the campaign was going down, so the 3 of us went around and shot down (I think) 8 planes without any losses. I saw you joined, just as we were landing and leaving.
Let's hope the server stays alive tomorrow morning for the next one. See you there. ATAG TS, down under the CLOD server 2 area, we have our own channel.
