Hi fellas,
I am now trying to decide which way to purchase Clod. I know it's more expensive, but I fancy having the DVD rather than downloading. Besides costing more are there any other advantages/disadvantages to going the DVD route? Thanks.

Hey Stachl, I believe that even if you purchase the DVD, you must activate it through Steam. That means, if Steam vanishes one day, you will still not be able to play even though you have the DVD. See here: www.simhq.com/_air13/air_500a.html"There are multiple ways to purchase IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover. I decided to get the game via digital download on Steam. The game is also available in DVD at local retailers and directly from the Ubisoft’s web site. Regardless how you buy the game, you will have to install the Steam application interface to play and update the game. There is no way to play the game without using Steam, so if you get heartburn over DRM schemes like Steam, then don’t buy the game. I personally like Steam so I don’t have any problem using it."

Thanks for the info Hackl and Gunther and your efforts too Stecher. I have one more campaign mission in ROF on Friday and then I'm going to get going on this. Several big things I have to do (maybe even a new motherboard) so it'll be a while still, but at the latest I will be ready by August. It'll be great to fly with you guys again!

Agreed! These 109s in CLoD are competitve with the Spits they're facing, seems a decent even match to me.
