Mic switched to mute at some point, reason unknown, and I didn't realize it until our last mission. Sorry about that. Was good flying with you's guys.

How do you know it was the CMOS battery? Did you change it out on the same motherboard?

Trial and error ..never mind I've broken my SSD (OS and all in there)) SATA connector in the process of troubleshooting. Checked the voltage and was 2.5.-2.6 V so I put a new one, but by that time ran in the other issue so... basically out of commission and contemplating a new rebuild (OS game, emails lost...etc) Tep

How exactly did the SATA connecter break on the SSD? The plastic around it, or the metal pins? Depending on how bad it is, it could be fixed.

The little L shaped plastic piece supporting the pins .. any help greatly appreciated ... can't recover although I've even taped the connector.
SSD will stay up but disappears when attempt to do a search or copy anything from it.

It sounds like the connectors are damaged then. I was hoping it was just the plastic, as you can find ways (like tape as you said) to hold the plug in place. But if it's securely together, and you're getting intermittent recognition failures, then it's a bit more serious than a broken plastic tab. Sorry.

What are ClOD directories? I've managed to download, in between work/don't work state of the SSD, My Documents/1C SoftClub. Is this enough?

I don't think copy and paste is doing to work on a new HDD. You are probably going to have to reinstall it entirely.

At least you shouldn't have to redo your controls as that softclub directory, that you were able to save, should have your settings (controls, ammo loadouts, etc.). That'll save you some time anyway! Good luck and hurry up we miss you.

Yeah, the 1C SoftClub folder will have all your settings, controls, missions, etc, but you'll need to reinstall the game and all the TF mods into the Steam directory in order to have the game in the first place. At the end of the process, just throw your saved 1C SoftClub folder over the new one in Documents.

Tepes, try this:
1. Back up the IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover folder from the Steam directory. The path should be something like: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover
2. Back up the 1CSoftClub folder located in Documents
3. Install the game via Steam on your new HD
4. Paste the two backup folders over the new ones and overwrite everything.
I believe this will save you the trouble of re-installing the mod from scratch.

Thanks, but computer freezes when double click on this folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover:(
No choice but start all ( except I hope personal settings in 1CSoftClub folder) from the beginning when new SSD arrive.

You wouldn't need to get inside that folder, just to it. If you can get inside 'common', don't double click on 'IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover'. Just right click and copy, then paste it to another drive. Does it let you do that?
