My X45 is d**n sticky and it's been giving me trouble lately. Was wondering if theres any way to loosen the thing? Even if i just want to make a slight turn to say the left or right, it won't budge, so i have to apply more pressure until it gives and i end up doing barrel rolls lol.
Might take it apart and see what can be done... last time i did that to a stick I couldnt get it back together lol.
Let me know if any of you have this problem or if you have heard about any way to fix this...

These were the major reasons I got rid of my X45 stick.
The things that I found that would work was to release the spring tension and lubricate the base. To release the tension I took four zip ties. The small ones that are used for auto wiring. I tightened each tie till the tension felt right, mine ended up being about half compressed.
I was told by others that any petroleum based oily lubricant would deteriate the plastic. You want to use candle wax. I lit a birthday candle and dribbled hot wax around the ring where it comes in contact with the stick.
That lasted me 2 or 3 months until I upgraded and bought a new stick (Ch Fighterstick).

Reminds me of my Wingman extreme. Theres no firmness, and the darn thing goes crazy when I try to calibrate it. No word yet on my job interviews so I'm going to have to wait until I can get a new stick.

I just took a bar of soap and rubbed it on the plastic base. Nice and smooth. I use my dads X45 sometimes and he actually clipped some of the spring off. Way too light for me. I like some resistance, it just has to be smooth resistance and the soap did that for me.
