Of course we all know about the new Storms of War series by Maddox, but what other sims and games are you guys looking forward too. Since I've had my head burried in the books for the past few years ... I might have missed something.
Here's the ones I'm waiting for.
BlackShark
Some of you may know I'm a closet rotor head, something about sneaking around in trees at 20m shooting tanks appeals to me. This lomac expansion includes the KA-50 (Russia's Apache counterpart), with full switchable cockpit and a higher fidelity fm than the Su-25T.
Jet-Thunder
This one is about the '82 Falklands conflict between Argentina and the UK. It seems to be focusing on the Harrier vs Mirage dogfights. The developers are avid il2 players and they said they are aiming for the same level of fidelity. I've been watching the progress of this sim for a year or so, it all started with a group of guys that just decided to make a flight sim. Its amazing how far they're getting with little to no funding.
SupremeCommander
This is an RTS and the sequel to Total Anihilation that came out in '96 I think. For those of you who haven't played TA, it was the first RTS to implement 3D graphics and an attempt to implement learning AI into the game. Take a look at the site, the scope of the battles alone is impressive.
There's also MS FlightSim X. It will definatly be graphically impressive, but I've never really liked the flight models in the MSFS series. Plus no guns, sure a blind ILS landing in a thunderstorm can be intense, but its just not the same as jinking a spitfire off your tail and gaining the upperhand. And then getting the satisfaction of blowing him out of the sky.
So anyone else?
