I had a clean copy of 4.10.1m and made a new copy of it, and then successfully patched it to HSFX 6.0 after my mishap last nite. Tonight I will get the HSFX 6.0.1 patch and the auto updater. From there can get totally up to current as it seems to be automatic from then on. They're up to 6.0.14 as of just a day ago or so. Update: I am current to 6.0.14. The auto updater took the longest time for me (2hrs) and it was only 419 MB Getting HSFX 6.0 from torrent took about the same for me. Tested on the new spits n 109s hsxf server and it works All the installs went without a hitch so far.

Heard a rumor GS may migrate to this.
If so can we post procedures, links and appropriate info to get the process started.
I have a clean install to v4.10.1m,
so I think all I need is 4.11 and 4.11.1 and then the hsfx versions to current on top of that. Correct?
I'd like to get my install going and test it out on the new Spits n 109s HSFX server and see what all the hype is about...

A while back I remember a lot of talk about memory leaks. I think this was supposed to be fixed in some of the patches up to this point. What I wonder is if messing around with all this mod stuff might reintroduce the problems associated with the memory leaks.... Just a thought.

Freezing rain last night and the winds are supposed to pick up. There is a huge low moving in from the south- sometimes known here as a "Pineapple Express or Chinook" Everything is glazed with ice and really slick. Schools are canceled. I spent nearly an hour in freezing rain, deicing one of our aircraft encased in ice. They really should not be flying today. Many people called in sick because they can't drive to work without great risk. forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?zoneid=AKZ101and a blurp from the local paper www.adn.com/news/education/story/653466.htmlIt's gonna be a fun one.....

I hereby debunk the global warming theory and declare a new vacation destination, bring yer swim trunks ;D....... I worked the flight line in -22f today. Anything that could go wrong.... did,due mainly just to cold temps. Apply some heat (from Herman Nelsons) and wal-la, it's fixed --mostly indication issues. www.adn.com/front/story/644835.html

Is HL Working for anyone else. I get home from today work and can't connect. I'm suspicious of a windows update last night maybe causing the problem.

Tried to remove this thing and it proliferated itself. Had no choice but to do a clean install of windows I called in today so I could at least get in a position where I would be able to fly FS tonite. Proliminaries flights are promising. I think all I need is to back up the system now. Might have to wait until after FS tho. A HUGE thank you to CarbonFreeze from JG27 who offered his time and drove an hour to Anchorage from Wasilla in a snowfall(both ways) to give me a hand. Things will be a little funky for me until I get reorganized with the new setup.

Last night after the mission I got infected with "XP Antispyware 2009" I'm a computer illiterate so I'm in trouble with this. Hopefully I can have this resolved with out too much damage to my system, otherwise I may be out for a while. Luckily there is a guy we fly with, who lives nearby. He has offered his services to me, which I gladly accept. He will be by tonight after work. With any luck I'll be back in business soon.

A little something to share guys! Yesterday Sept.30,'08 was the last flight of our DC-6 aircraft, to be retired from our fleet. When I started for this company in 1990 we were flying 14 of them. One by one they ran out of airframe time until we were down to our last 2. It was decided by management to retire them in place of 737-200s we are now using. We are an all cargo airline flying servicing the Great state of Alaska, which most areas are accessable only by air. We have also flown contract outside of the state flying autoparts to Michigan from Arizona and during holidays contracted by UPS flying extra mail from Seattle to Anchorage. Also several trips were made to Russia. We Back haul tons of Fish and Crab, mostly during the summer, from remote fishing areas to get them to market as fast as possible. I could go on and on ,but just wanted to share this with you guys News article www.adn.com/money/story/543341.htmlA slide show here www.adn.com/slideshows/v-swf/story/542990.htmlThey guy dropping chocks ........
