Hey, guys! Recon is preparing to move FS back to Europe sometime very soon. We think the new campaign will be a 1943 western front scenario and we are trying to establish the number of squads/pilots that will be flying on either side. I will will be flying German along with several other AKA members and some of the usual German players from other squads. I am sure everyone in FS would love to have you guys participate on any level that suits you. FS missions are not flown on any strict schedule, but they are mostly flown several times a week in the evenings around 2130 EST. Please visit the FS website and forums for more information: www.forgottenskies.com/ForgottenWars/default.aspxI hope to see you in FS! S~

It's good to see that they are now using Dogfight mission types as well. I took a quick look at the site, but then in went down for maintenance. I'll have to do some more reading up on it before I decide, but if they're going to move to the WF ETO, I'd say our chances are good. How much we'll be able to participate depends on three main factors. One, the new year attendance of our roster. Two, how well the squad responds to a new training program. And three, the direction COT takes with their next campaign, as that is our primary dedication. I was looking for a way to give our new guys a way to get COT-like experience without actually having it be COT, because it can be harsh. FS, if I understand correctly, has a 2 DiD system, which is perfect for this purpose. Thanks for the heads up Hitcher.

FS has actually been running mostly 1.5 hour DF missions for nearly a year now. 609_Scorp has written a great program that keeps track of kickable offenses, allows you to get a vector home, reports radar sightings of enemy aircraft, etc. The entire stat system is being rewritten and the rds routes are now being shown on the war map.
I think FS will continue to be fluid in terms of the schedule. In some weeks, we fly nearly every night, other weeks only once or twice. We also do some double headers. Our main concern is the balance of players on either side for the new campaign, so any participation from the 3./JG51 would be most welcome.

BTW, I think you will find a more organized, determined, dedicated and skilled enemy in FS than you have seen in COT, so far.

Yeah, Hitcher it seems the balance is reversed. I've gone and applied us. I'm looking forward to Italy 43, I just hope we can bring some pilots.
