How to map the button on my CH ProThrottle to a key on the keyboard for TeamSpeak. It will be much easier to talk you CH owners through it while on TS, so the next time we are on together I will walk you through it No more reaching for the keyboard...Hooray!

Hey choctaw,
If you need any more help with ch stuff, I run all ch gear and have done all sorts of crazy scripting to add software capabilities that aren't there with the hardware. Like more axes (for trim) and modes.

I run all CH gear myself. I have been in touch with Ken "Ghost" King in the past and had him make me a custom ProThrottle with numerous extra switches and rotaries. This thing is a BEAUTY! He does beta testing for CH and they condone all of his modding and such. I haven't spoken to him in a while. Any help you can offer would be a big help for sure. I would like to hear what you have done with your CH stuff.

Here's some of the things I've done with my il-2 profile. - Put a timer on the landing gear so I have to hold the button a couple seconds, so it doesn't drop by accident.
- Bound buttons on the throttle for prop pitch that controls an axis. Its a lot smoother than going through the game. It ends up being a virtual rotary.
- The throttle mode switch controls the fineness of the virtual rotary. Green moves fast, yellow is medium and red is slow but very precise.
- A weapon's selector, so that I can switch the big red button on the fighter stick to drop bombs, rockets or fire cannons.
- Linked both rudder pedal brakes so that they will activate the in game wheel brakes. This way it works closer to a real airplane.

The wheel breaks are something I would be interested in. I heard it could be done for the Saitek, but not for these.
Edit... Well, I thought I had it. When I restart my machine, it shows that the map is saved, and I load the map, but the button I have TS mapped to no longer keys up TS. It still shows that the button is linked to the key on the keyboard. Any help that you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

First make sure that the ctrl manager is in "mapped" mode. Its the right most button, looks like a blue box with one line branching to three circles.
There is a button on the tool bar called key check it looks like a keyboard. If you press it a green/black dialog should pop up. When you press the button you have bound to push to talk, it should register here.
If this registers the stick is setup correctly, then make sure that TS is bound to the same key. You could even set it by pressing the joystick button.
I have CMCC automatically load when windows boots that loads my IL-2 profile and starts in map mode so I don't have to do anything after start up.

For rudder pedals:
You need a CMS Control device installed in your profile. If you haven't added this, you add it just like you would your throttle, stick or pedals. I assume that every device you have is already loaded into the profile, if not do that too.
Move the rudder brakes and change both of there DX Device and DX Axis to none.
Go to the CMS Controls, this is a virtual device that is accessible through the scripting module. Click on the first oval in the axis section (upper left). Set: DX Device : CM Device 1 DX Axis : Something that will not conflict with anything else. If the wheel brakes are the only thing loaded onto this CM Device it won't matter.
Click on CM-Editor on the toolbar, looks like a piece of paper with a blue header. You need to type this in:
script
%DEFINE WheelBrake CMS.A1
IF ([JS3.A1 > JS3.A2]) THEN WHEELBRAKE = JS3.A1; ELSE WHEELBRAKE = JS3.A2; ENDIF
endscript
Exit out of the editor and try to download the profile. If its successful load the test/calibration button and click on CMS Device 1. Play with the toe brakes, the one that is pressed more should always register. Its not perfect, but at least if you do a hard left turn, you wont need to do something goofy like press the right toe brake.
If it doesn't work try changing the number in the JS# variables. I'm not sure how the cm editor assigns this, but on my profile it ends up being: JS1 = stick JS2 = throttle JS3 = pedals
Go into IL2 and assign the axis just like any other.

Thank you for the info Spectre I did FINALLY get my PTT sorted. There were a couple small things I didn't realize. I was actually on the phone with 531_Ghost, the guy who made my ProThrottle Franken Potato. He saw my post in the CH Hangar and told me to give him a ring. We hadn't called each other in a while so it was good to speak with him again. He got me all sorted out. I appreciate your help as well. As far as the toe breaks...that is something I will mess with at some point in the near future.
