I'm going to be flying Russian during the Moscow Campaign. MUAHAHAHAAHHAAHHAHAAHAHHAH It runs very smooth this is low-medium graphics settings. My computer can run high but it gets bogged down when the zsu's light up and missles start flying. If this sim is the spearhead of the next gen sims, good things are coming. The only way I can explain it is after flying Blackshark; il2, lomac, msfs feel like cartoons. Flight, systems and damage modeling are all top notch. There's even a datalink system where you can send targets information to others in the flight. However, like il2 and lomac the campaign is dry and lacks atmosphere.

I've never been into helicopters, but it sounds pretty awesome.

Its DCS:Blackshark its the next line of sims by Eagle Dynamics that did LockOn. The first in the series is of the Kamov KA-50 Blackshark attack helicopter. They chose to go to a modular distribution method per airframe that they produce. The next two in the pipe are A-10A/C and AH-64A (no longbow). Something you might be interested in Heiden is that they are releasing a suite of tools to mod and add new aircraft. I'm not sure what the scope of it is but there's more information on their forums. www.digitalcombatsimulator.comHere's some videos by Eagle Dynamics that show the sim in action and explains the systems. Its on the same level as the Falcon series for button pushing. Which really isn't that bad once you get used to it. One of the most intense missions I flew was one that started out while the FARP was being shelled by artillery and had to get the helicopter up. A round exploded my wingman and bits and pieces hit my ka-50, no damage but the whole thing shook and bounced for a bit. The suspense wouldn't have been there if all I had to do was press 'I'. youtube
