The most JG51 pics I've come across were the 109Fs. Probably because that was during the height of Werner Mölders' career. I don't think I've ever seen a 190 picture that had obvious visual confirmation of being from JG51. In fact it was some B&W 109 pictures that convinced me of the Geschwader emblem being blue/white, not blue/brown as you see propagated all over the internet, and even reputable books! I've seen the blue/white emblem on a 109 print I own, and recent pictures of an Emil on museum display. It had me wondering, but it wasn't until I saw an actual period 109 photo (even in B&W) did the color contrast compared to the known camo colors it was against validate the blue/white version to me. I've seen more than a few B&W pictures of the emblem on 109s and they all support this. If there ever was a blue/brown version, I haven't seen a picture that supports it. If you have any pictures, of either 109 or 190 with the Geschwader emblem, I'd love to see them if it's not too much trouble. The book I referred to before is Osprey's 190 Aces of the Eastern Front. There's an online preview, which does have a generous portion of it, but not much in pictures. They have numerous I./JG51 color plates described (images not included in preview), which I assume, or at least hope, are based on some photographic evidence, even if not included in that book. I have 3 books from that series and there are a few things I've found to be in error, but overall they're a good source. Osprey also has a dedicated JG51 book that should have some good stuff in it. Don't ask me how I don't already have these. Guys? Any of you have them?

I have done some searching to find pictures of I./JG51 aircraft, but I haven't had much success with it. Maybe the best thing I've found are the text descriptions of unit aircraft, no picture available. They are from a book preview (something I should buy). We play in an online war called Forgotten Skies, and actually we are just about to start a Moscow campaign. I do skins for our unit to use during training, and have been trying to learn more about 190 schemes on the eastern front. I seems that JG54 started (or maybe just expanded) a trend for eastern units to use non-standard RLM colors and schemes, since they were issued mainly for western air-superiority missions. In the east it was low altitude flying over forests and grasslands. I have been unable to find anything definitive on the camo scheme or actual colors used, but photographs certainly show non-standard colors and schemes for 41-43 Luftwaffe fighters. The best description I could find was that each unit probably used a custom mix of their paints to make what they wanted and applied it how they wanted. So scheme and actual coloring would have varied somewhat. As it wasn't official, there is no record of exactly how it was done. I wish I could help you more, but I really haven't found much specifically on I./JG51 schemes online. The best I can do right now is speculate from the many examples of other units schemes and of course from the standard colors/scheme that they are based on. 190 colors/schemes from the eastern front 41-43 may be the most illusive ones because it was all done unofficially at the unit level. And pictures of non-JG54 190s are apparently rare, at least online. There are books which have more information and pictures, but I don't have them.......yet. I'm convincing myself to buy them as we prepare for this next FS campaign. If you have anything digital that you could share, we'd be happy to see it. Good luck with your campaign.

Don't know anything other than it seems to be a CFS3 mod.

Good luck. It will be good to get that fixed so you can fly a normal mission.

Yeah, but I don't think any are actually of in-game graphics. Or did I miss it?

Anyone else having trouble signing onto the FS forum? When I try, it just kicks me back to the index page like I'm not signed in yet. My name is on there as being online, but I'm not really in. The rest of the boards don't show up and if I click on the PMs, it asks me to sign in. And if I do, it asks me again. Is it just me?

Yeah, these are for sims. There's actually a video showing the stick and throttle while strafing with a 190 in Il-2.

I briefly looked through DCG many months ago. But besides FS development, I don't do anything offline.
